A vision of beauty

Fact #1984234 about me, I wear glasses. I started wearing glasses when I was 13 years old, that was also the year when I got my braces. I got made fun of a lot, middle school kids can be harsh, I got called "nerd" "4 eyes" you name it. So when I started high school I begged my mom to get me contacts and when she did I was so happy! I became even happier when my braces came off!

As I grew older, I realized that I should have been stronger. I shouldn't have let those kids throw my confidence out the window and make me feel self conscious  about the way I looked. Now that I am all grown up I am proud to wear my glasses. In fact I am in the middle of getting new ones! Getting new glasses requires a lot of looking and a lot of research. But I must be the luckiest girl in the world! Why you might ask? Well because I was contacted by GlassesUSA.com and let me tell you, that made my life so much more easier.

  1. Cool!!! I'm going to need a new pair soon. With motherhood comes crappy eyesight!
Oh and how I used to brag that I had better than 20/20 vision.
    Those were the days!!!

  3. I started wearing glasses when I was in 5th grade. I hated them so much because everyone made fun of me. After about a week I took my glasses off and tucked them under one of the wheels of a school bus so that when it moved it would crush them. My mom wasn't too happy about my "accidentally crushed" glasses haha. It did however make her consider getting me contacts and I loved that. I could see and people didn't have to know I was wearing them. However, now I love my glasses and I hate wearing contacts! I guess they grow on you after so many years, I feel naked without them.
